Development Files

• Projects in your Git folder

• Tiny code snippets or links Instead of saving them on iCloud notes or on Sublime Text or in note-taking apps - use Paste

• Your SSH keys ~/.ssh

Others

• Browser bookmarks, settings, history, etc. I recommend using Chrome Profiles.

• Passwords, server logins, and sensitive stuff. I recommend using Bitwarden — the free tier is good enough for my personal needs and is open-source.

• Your Font files ~/Library/Fonts

Cloud Storage

This might sound crazy but files are all synced to the cloud. (Well, except for the OS and everything in the Home folder) I find Google One to be the more economically viable option. If you’re fully immersed in the Apple ecosystem, iCloud might be a good alternative too.
